Once a school subscribes to one or all of our publications, all staff can access Teaching Times services. This total package is called the Professional Learning Community, and is designed to create a truly professional learning community in your school.

We offer a suite of products that all work independently, but together they provide an holistic approach to CPD and assessment.

The Teaching Times Library
Teaching Times produces the following highly acclaimed CPD magazines:School Leadership Today, Leadership Briefing, Creative Teaching & Learning, Professional Development Today, Every Child Journal and Update, E-Learning Update and Learning Spaces. These update a very extensive online Best Practice Library, which has been acclaimed as being one of the best available, anywhere... in the world.

The library can be used to help support whole school initiatives, or to support classroom teaching and learning strategies or simply to provide expertise for individual study for qualifications. Most education department libraries in the UK take one, several, or all of the publications and supporting libraries for their PGCE and Post-graduate students.

Through our website we can bring you up-to-date news and guidance, give you access to exciting and innovative resources and lesson plans, and draw your attention to products, promotions and CPD opportunities.

Climbing Frames - A Student Progress Tracker
The Climbing Frames School Pupil Tracker is a digital assessment framework that replaces the now defunct national curriculum levels. It relates directly to the new curriculum and enables individual pupil’s progress to be tracked across foundation and core subjects.

The Climbing Frames School Pupil Tracker offers a complete set of assessment frames and record sheets for National Curriculum subjects in Key Stages 1, 2 and 3, including reports for parents.

The framework is designed to work in a familiar way, like APP, and allow your teachers to track attainment and progress over time, using an approach that is familiar and intuitive to use.

The Climbing Frames School Pupil Tracking Assessment App Is Designed To Support The Ongoing Assessment Of Pupils In Each Subject, Enabling Teachers To:

Record attainment and progress on a regular basis
Identify who is on, below or above trajectory to succeed
Support pupils who have fallen below trajectory, and stretch others
Plan future lessons to meet needs more precisely.

It Will Also Aid Senior Leaders Because It Will:

Keep an ongoing record of individual pupil attainment and progress
Allow summative data about the performance of classes, years, subjects, cohorts and
teachers
Offer consistency of approach and level of detail across the curriculum.
The pack has been designed to:
Apply the approach previously used in APP which is familiar to teachers, but adjusted to the year-by-year requirements of the new curriculum
Allow for local adaptation where schools wish to exert their own particular priorities

i-WIGT (What Is Good Teaching)
The i-WIGT is an iPad and web-based App that uses a clean, simple interface with touch-screen interaction to help you to assess, mentor and improve teaching and learning within your school.

The i-WIGT is based on national and international research into best practice in teaching and learning. The framework has been developed in schools over a ten year period. The highly-successful print version is currently used in 1000 schools in the UK and has been bought by three local authorities.

Our apps are unique, in that these products link directly to our online library ensuring your staff have direct access to inbuilt CPD.

“The Professional Learning Community allows the AST Team to review the most up-to-date thinking on key aspects of learning and teaching, professional development and leadership. There is no doubt that the articles and case studies have helped us to shape our own support programmes and to strategically manage them. It is important for ASTs to be leading thinking in their school or authority, and a key part of this responsibility is to find out what is happening beyond your context. The Professional Learning Community is a cost effective and valuable way in which to achieve this.”

Angela Moore, AST Coordinator, Danum Academy, Doncaster

“Imaginative Minds’ Professional Learning Community service has at its heart a professional development library which is unlike anything else available. It’s a profound and growing database of best practice articles which can support advances in leadership and teaching at every level of the school. It has constantly updated education information, but its real value, in my view, is its orientation towards practice and reflective leadership and teaching. Every school, primary or secondary, seeking to have a dynamic, learning staff team should have the service as a pre-requisite.”

Richard Churches , Principal Consultant, CfBT Education Trust
