“an inspirational day last week, the students truly surprised and amazed me”

L.B., head of KS5, Birmingham schools

“That was fantastic today and just what I was hoping for. The students are buzzing about it - thanks so much”

L.A., head of KS5, Glocs schools

“All of my students have been incredibly positive about the experience (as have staff) and I would certainly recommend David to my colleagues from different schools. Moreover, I really feel that this will make a difference and I plan to follow up his session in future tutorials. ”

J.B., headteacher, North Tyneside Learning PLatform

“Thanks to david hyner and his workshop which was presented and delivered exspertly at biddulph high school, Thanks to him I used every bit of help he offered and the advice he gave me upon speaking to him, using the The MASIVE Goals Pyramid to help me, I isolated the areas that needed more attention and support to progress myself forward to where i wanted to get, As a result of his amazing help I am now a RHINO, I used it all to my advantage and I am now a mercantile marine in the merchant navy, Because before in relation to my goals I was a fair distance away and I did not at first beleive I could achieve such goals but with all this help and that my attitude changed I am now there.”

“I have never seen Y11 so motivated! it was great to see.”

J.T., yr 11 head, Derby schools

“That session could not have been any better timed than it was today! Even my most reluctant staff have fed back how positive it was. I was keen to stress how much it was for staff themselves as well as the kids! Since coming to Woodlawn it probably ranks in the top 5 CPD sessions we have had”

S.R., headteacher, Tyneside schools

“Over the years I have seen many good presentations made to Sixth Form students. It is rare however for me to be genuinely excited. That wass certainly the case on Wendesday, I am still excited and need to think some more about how we ensure that what we do continues to support the philosophy which was offered to our young people.”

M.I., head of KS5, Bucks schools

“I am so grateful to you and I can only hope that in managing the remainder of our project I am able to maintain the high that you created.I thought you'd like to know that when I went into work on Thursday morning I had two emails from two of the girls who were with us on Wednesday, both of them had gone straight home from school and written articles for the magazine. Wow!! And, it didn't stop there, with me receiving dozens of texts and emails from the young people and colleagues (although not the school, interestingly!) all saying how much they'd enjoyed the day- rhino and milky milky are everyones favorite buzz words now!! Because of popular demand we are having a pyramid day in the library on Friday so you may be hearing from us again.”

S.E., head librarian, Redditch schools

“Staff and students have been commenting all day with regard to how much you inspired them to ‘become a rhino’ and take an active responsibility for their own future success (yes the teachers too). All have come to me with smiles and action plans. Karen is so impressed she has asked me to see if you would be a main speaker at our next awards evening. David – a most sincere and personal thank you from me – as always you touch our hearts and minds – and you are brilliant. ”

I.U., yr head, Staffordshire schools

“David has worked with a number of Aimhigher partnerships over the years and his results working with young people have been fantastic. Dave brings revision and motivational skills to life for young people, teaching them practical and helpful ways to enhance their learning. Coupled with his enthusiasm for helping young people to make the most of themselves, Dave delivers high energy, humourous sessions that young people engage with in a really positive way. His message is clear - "Go Rhino" and make the most of yourself and your opportunities in life. A fantastic speaker”

“I think the data speaks for itself! Please find attached the results from the student questionaires. Another inspirational day that our students have benefitted from”

T.G., G&T lead, North Dudley school

“David is an innovative and inspirational person that has the unique ability to motivate people of all ages, genders and ethnicity. A meticulus and generous professional who simply comes alive with humour, energy and positivity as soon as you meet him. We have employed his services for over the last four years to motivate our students to succeed. I have little doubt our journey from 34% to over 72% A*- C has been supported by his contribution”

T.H., assis head, Sandwell schools

“I cannot imagine any school regretting bringing David Hyner in to work with its students. I have had the pleasure of hosting David Hyner to my school three times to run half day workshops for Year 12 and for Year 13. I now intend to book David every year and see his input as an essential part of our Study Skills and PSHE programme. Many Year 13 students said that they regarded David’s talks as the most valuable input they had received throughout the whole of the Sixth Form. David covers motivation, memory skills, prioritising, self esteem and confidence building. David doesn’t just convince the students that they can achieve; he gives them the tools with which to achieve their goals. David is a highly entertaining and engaging speaker who soon has the audience eating out of the palm of his hand. Beneath the humour and the banter, David has a very serious message to deliver. He knows how to vary the pace and mix up the activities to hold the students’ attention. David interacts very effectively with large groups but also with individuals. He is a caring and sensitive person who knows how to pull on the heart strings as well as how to stimulate the intellect. I can recommend David Hyner’s Stretch Development workshop without reservation to all Directors of Sixth Form, as a highly effective course which can be integrated very well with the school’s own preparation and follow up activities. At the heart of David’s presentation is the idea that students can and must take responsibility for their own development and that they should not content themselves with half measures and low level aspirations. The only goals David respects are massive ones and he is able to provide personal testimony as to the effectiveness of positive thinking and intelligent planning. ”

F.M., KS5 head, Worcs schools

“You proved brilliantly today how ‘hairy arsed’ teenagers can not only be led as a group to reflect on their own worth but laugh doing it. It was a privilege to see this being done, with so many individual successes demonstrated on the day.”

E.S., assis head, Hereford schools
